Q1: What are the system requirements to run ImTOO Video Editor?
A: Here are the minimum system requirements:
- Microsoft® Windows XP (SP2 or later), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
- 1GHz Intel/AMD or faster processor
- 512MB or above recommended
- 30MB available disk space for installation
- Super VGA (800×600) resolution, 16-bit graphics card or higher
Q2: Where can I download ImTOO Video Editor?

Q3: How to register after I got my license code?
A: First please run the ImTOO Video Editor and click on ‘Register’ button to open ‘Registration’ window. Then copy and paste your user name and license code in corresponding text boxes to register.
Q4: How do I get started with ImTOO Video Editor?
A: It contains three video editing tools: video joiner, splitter and cutter. Please follow the instructions below to join, split or cut your video with ease.
To join videos, please
1. Click on ‘Join’ icon in the first interface to open ‘Video Joiner’ window.
2. Click on ‘Open…’ button to add video files you want to merge.
3. Click on ‘Join’ button to enter ‘Output Settings’ window.
4. Enter the output name, set output path, select output format and adjust its settings to your preference.
5. Click on ‘OK’ button to start merging videos.
To split a video, please
1. Click on ‘Split’ icon in the first interface to open ‘Video Splitter’ window.
2. Click on ‘Open…’ button to add a video file you want to split.
3. Click on ‘Play’ button and use ‘Set Split Point’ button to set split points.
4. Click on ‘Split’ button to enter ‘Output Settings’ window.
5. Enter the name of the output, set output format and adjust its parameters to your actual need.
6. Click on ‘OK’ button to start splitting video.
To cut video, please
1. Click on ‘Cut’ icon in the first interface to open ‘Video Cutter’ window.
2. Click on ‘Open…’ button to add a video file you want to cut.
3. Click ‘Play’ button and use ‘Set Start Point’ and ‘Set End Point’ button to locate the needed clip.
4. Use ‘New Clip’ button and repeat step ‘3’ to create other clips.
5. Clip on ‘Cut’ button to enter ‘Output Settings’ window.
6. Enter the name of the output, set output format and adjust its parameters to your actual need.
7. Click on ‘OK’ button to start cutting video.
Q5: Are there some limitations to the format of the input?
A: ImTOO Video Editor allows you to edit video files of nearly all popular video formats like AVI, MPEG, H.264, SWF, MOV, WMV, etc. for playback on popular devices like iPod, iPhone, PSP, PS3, and so on.
Q6: Can I join several videos with different formats?
A: Yes, of course. You can load video files with different formats and output them as a whole one. And before start merging, you can customize the output format to your actual need.
Q7: I’d like to adjust the order of the videos that I want to join. How should I do?
A: After loading videos, please highlight the video you want to move and use the left or right arrow button on the top right of the video pane to move it to the ideal position. You can also directly drag it to the place you want.
Q8: Is it possible to add fad in/out effect between videos that I want merge together?
A: Yes. What you need to do is just to check ‘Fade in/out effect’ option before joining.
Q9: I merge several movies and output them into an AVI format video. It works well but the speaker is mono only (not stereo). How should I do to get a stereo audio?
A: Before start merging, please open ‘Output Settings’ window and click on ‘More’ button to stretch ‘Profile’ panel. Locate ‘Channel’ option below ‘Audio Codec’ and select ‘Stereo’ from the dropdown list.
You can also modify other parameters to your preference.
Q10: In ‘Video Splitter’ window, I notice there is a ‘Split Automatically’ option. What can I do with it?
A: ImTOO Video Editor provides two splitting modes: manual and auto.Besides splitting by manual, you can also select auto splitting mode. Please check ‘Split Automatically’ option and set time duration, splitting size or segment as you need.
Q11: How to delete the split point?
A: Please just select one splitting point under the timeline and click ‘Delete Split Point’ to delete it. If you want to delete all splitting points, please click ‘Clear Split Point’ to reset new points to meet your demands.
Q12: I’d like to get rid of the unwanted parts from my movie, and get a new one. Does your program help me?
A: Yes, of course. On ‘Video Cutting’ window, after clipping segments, please click ‘Show Advanced Mode’ button to switch to the advanced cutting mode. Then, keep‘Output segments as a whole one’ option checked on the bottom and you will get a new video after cutting work is done.
In the advanced mode, you can also edit the segments in the list, such as delete segment and adjust the sequence of the segments with ease.
Q13: Can I keep the original format after cutting or splitting my movie?
A: Yes, of course. You just need to check ‘Keep original format’ on the ‘Output Settings’ window.
